Northern Cyprus Economy
Cement, potatoes, citrus fruits and clothes are those products that are exported from North Cyprus to Turkey. Tourism, business and education have a great impact on the economy of this island. According to the statistics in 2018 the rate of unemployment was 5% in North Cyprus. This has made people not only think of traveling to North Cyprus but also apply for job opportunities in this lovely island. If we want to analyze this island in terms of gross production, we can say that the share of "industry" in gross production is equal to 22% and also the share of "agriculture" is equal to 9%. The economy of this island is based on the free market and it is good to know that most of the expenses in this section are provided by the European Union and its neighboring country, Turkey. The official currency of Northern Cyprus is Lira and also there is a direct connection between the economy of this island and the economy of Turkey. The professions of most of the people of this island are jobs such as construction, hairdressing, restaurants, tourism, service and technical affairs, real estate, clothing and business. Northern Cyprus has approximately 195 villages and agriculture is the profession of most of the people in these villages and they provide different products for commercial use such as grapes, all kinds of vegetables, figs, olives, melons, barley, potatoes and wheat that are grown in medium sizes, to the market. Services play an important role in banking, education and tourism in North Cyprus.  In this island, the slow progress of its economy has created an advantage in the field of tourism because its villages are still wonderful and untouched and its air has the least pollutants. Among the good jobs in North Cyprus that make good income is education. Every year many students from different countries come to this island to start or continue their education. 

Analyzing Northern Cyprus Cities
Lefkosa (North Nicosia)

This city is known as the capital city of North Cyprus and its population is approximately 62,000 people. There are many administrative buildings in Lefkosa. This city is the only capital city in the world which is divided into two parts, north and south. This beautiful and wonderful city is one of the immigrant destinations. 

Kyrenia
One of the most beautiful cities of Northern Cyprus, located between the mountains and the sea with indescribable nature. Kyrenia has many historical places and mesmerizing landscapes. Did you know that during the stone age, Kyrenia was people’s habitation?

Famagusta
One of the big and populated cities in North Cyprus. Its distance to Kyrenia is around 75 minutes by car. This city also has another name, Gazimagusa. Its old structure with today's modern and new architecture has given a special color and glaze to this region. Famagusta has several harbors that are used by many ships and cargo ships. 

Lefke
Where the mountains and the sea meet each other! This city is also famous for its citrus fruits. In Northern Cyprus, you will find the Jaffa orange only in Lefke and it is also famous for growing other fruits. Thanks to the three dams in this city, agriculture is very strong and also the water needed by the people of North Cyprus is provided through these dams.

Due to having a Mediterranean and temperate weather, this island is one of the most perfect destinations in the field of tourism. It should be mentioned that this island is periodically examined in the field of tourism and it has provided a favorable environment for income-generation. geographically, Northern Cyprus is located in a suitable place and because of that, business affairs are also thriving. The crime rate is very low and this has caused women to live their lives with ease, peace and security. You can also find good job opportunities on this island. According to statistics, in 2018, the unemployment rate in Northern Cyprus was close to 5%. It is also good to know that the rate of unemployment is 8% in Canada and 9% in England.

Culture
The official language in North Cyprus is Turkish. Their religion is Islam and they are proud of being Ottoman. They are also a family based people. Helping poor people is a very important moral for them. The social life of most of the people of this island revolves around social affairs. Variety of food festivals are also held in North Cyprus. Art, local dance and music are important items of people's culture. The people of this island are family friendly and family is their first priority. For this reason, they spend most of their time with family and family gatherings. Many summer festivals are held annually in different cities and different villages.
