Doğuş Derya, VP of the women's organization of the Northern Cyprus Turkish Republican Party, while criticising Dr Ahmet Ünsal, head of religious affairs, requested for his exclusion. Derya said in her statement that Ünsal has problems with the most basic human rights, especially civil marriage. He has gone far away from his duties and authority and he determines how women should live, how they should dress, and whether should they get divorce, or have children or not.
